IT Support Technician/Developer
- Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
- System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including operating systems and applications.
- User Training: Assist users in learning and effectively using technology tools and software applications.
- Remote Support: Utilize remote support tools to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for remote users.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations.
- Hardware Management: Manage inventory, perform hardware upgrades, and coordinate equipment repairs and replacements.
- Security Awareness: Implement security best practices and educate users on security measures and policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to ensure consistent and reliable IT services.
- Staying Updated: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an IT Support Technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and techniques.
- Experience with Active Directory, user account management, and group policies.
- Basic knowledge of network concepts and protocols.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
